James Ongige is a Kenyan rapper, singer, filmmaker, actor, scriptwriter and record producer.

He was born on September 4, 2003, in Nairobi, Kenya, to Gladys Moraa, a businesswoman, and Willy Ongige, a musician. He grew up in Kangemi, Nairobi, and was raised Catholic. Ongige attended New Kihumbuini Primary School, Nduru Boys' High School, and the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.

He began his music career as Quafff, releasing his debut single "Outta 23" in 2019, before reverting to his real name.

In 2024, Ongige made his filmmaking debut by directing the horror short film I Know Whatcha Did while studying at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication. The following year, he wrote and directed The Holy Requiem.
