The Ghanaian-Canadian born artist $krilla Ghad also known as producer/song writer but to family and friends he’s Mike Adoma. Born November 27th 1990 in Toronto, Canada he grew up in the community of Parkdale where he found his love for music. He was involved in the school band, choir, talent shows & was very athletic playing for various sports teams.
In 2005 his family moved up north to the Jane and Finch, an area known for drug and gun crimes populated by low income families. 2009 he started his rap career in a group called ROS “Remember Our Struggle”.
Skrilla Ghad debuted his first solo record in 2015 called “Billup” which generated a buzz around the city for its catchy hook & lyrics, with over 80,000 plays & views via SoundCloud/YouTube. Later on that year he parted ways with his group and released his first solo project “Skrilla Harden” . In 2020, he decided to change up his musical direction and tap into his West African Ghanaian roots with AfroTrap. He’s released many songs in that year and where 3 of his songs hit the top 200 in the world iTunes Charts: Eissh #23 (CAN), Go Again #35 (UK) & Soco Remix #78 (US). As of this year he debuted his AfroTrap EP entitled “Ghadzilla: Ice Cold” with beats by his in house producer Nvrhcos. Under the imprint of his new independent label APE he plans on starting a whole new wave with his sound.
