Gift Kunyanda, known as Kuncho Mindset, is a Zambian rapper, songwriter, and producer born on July 7, 1999, in Lusaka. His name combines “Kuncho” (creativity and generosity) with “Mindset” (growth and purpose). Known for introspective lyrics and a unique sound, Kuncho brings a fresh voice to Zambia’s hip-hop scene.

A top student at Sesheke High School, he earned a scholarship to study Chinese in China. The tragic loss of his mother deeply shaped his music, turning it into an emotional outlet. He debuted in 2018 with First Wave, then released his first album, Mama Kuncho, in 2019—a tribute to his mother. His 2021 EP, MAN ON THE RUN, cemented his status as an artist to watch.
